With the name Cappadocia, it is believed to have originated from the word from “Catpatuka”, that is “Land of beautiful horses”. Horses have been part of Cappadocia’s history since the mid-1400s and Cappadocian horses have been known throughout history for their strength and skills - they are believed to be descended from a pure Arabic stock.
