Bursa was the first capital of Ottoman Empire, and therefore displays some of the finest examples of Ottoman architecture including mosques, medreses, imarets and buildings such as hans (Travellers rest-stop), hamams (Turkish baths) and public fountains. It was known as Green Bursa due to the many parks and gardens in the city, and the surrounding forests. We will start our Travel in Turkey tour of Bursa by visiting the renowned Grand Mosque and the Green Mausoleum decorated with the famous Iznik tiles. We will have our lunch in an Iskender Kebap (Turkish speciality) restaurant which you will certainly appreciate. In the afternoon we will visit the Covered Bazaar and the old Silk Market, then ascend Uludag Mountain by cable car to enjoy the beautiful panoramic views of Bursa. Late in the evening, we will return to Istanbul and transfer you back to your hotel.
