Hierapolis: The city of Hierapolis was founded in 190 B.C. by Eumenes II as part of the great Empire of Pergamum and was probably named after Hiera, the wife of the legendary founder of Pergamum and the city’s development has reached its peak under Romans. Around the city, there are many ancient ruins such as, Necropolis, Bath and Basilica, Frontinius Gate, Frontinius Street, Latrina, Northern Byzantine Gate, Fountain of the Tritons and the Temple of Apollon.
Travertines: The unusual geological feature of Travertines, shaped by a underground water source which causes streams of thermal water to flow over and down cliffs, shaping little thermal pools. Saturated water with dissolved calcium bicarbonate cools in the pools while the calcium solidifies, it becomes a hard white chalk like substance. You are very welcome to walk in and let the water ungulf your bare feet.
Cleopatra Thermal Pool: You will also have chance to get free time to swim in the Cleopatra Antique Thermal Pool so do not forget to bring your swim suits with you and enjoy the healing water.
