Highlights

Our Daily Pergamum Tour from Selcuk is carried out everday of the year. Pergamum fom Selcuk takes about 3,5 hours by bus. During the tour you will be introduced with the following sights: Acropolis, from where the “Altar of Zeus” a monumental work of Greek art, built by King EumenesII of the Attalid Dynasty,  the “Acropolis” and “Asclepion”, an ancient ruined hospital where Galen, the “Father of Surgery” founded the modern health principles, the “massive Red Basilica” a former temple to Egyptian gods and the “Museum”. Pergamum had one of the richest libraries in the world and was one of the major centres of medicine and healing. 

Tour Details

We will depart in the morning from Selcuk and drive to Pergamum. Pergamum was one of the most beatiful cities of the ancient world. The sculptors and architects of Pergamum were known as the finest in the Hellenistic world. During our visit our guests will have chance to visit and experience all these precious ruins of the antique ruins.

As soon as we arrive at Pergamum we visit the Acropolis, Asclepion and the Red Basilica. Acropolis and Asclepion are listed among the top 100 historical sites in the Mediterranean. It is also home to one of the seven churches of the Apocalypse. Most of the extraordinary buildings and monuments on the site date back to the time of Eumenes II.

On our Pergamum Tour we will visit:

  • The ancient Pergamon, which once the ancient world's major power
  • The Acropolis
  • The library which once held more than 200,000 books
  • Temple of Athena
  • Temple of Trojan
  • The original site of the Altar of Zeus ( Now at BERLIN MUSEUM )

If you would like to book one of our tours, please complete the following steps...

2. Add to the cart and proceed with the payment of the deposit.

form and a proforma invoice with the final cost of the tour.
4. Please reply to this e-mail with your completed application form, and attached copies or photos of the passports of yourself and other participants.
5. We will send you a confirmation of your booking, with full details of your tour.
HOW TO MAKE A PAYMENT?
While making the initial reservation, please pay 30% of the total amount
as a deposit to secure your booking (steps 1 and 2). The remaining 70% should be paid, in cash or by credit card, upon arrival in Turkey.
