Tour Details

We will embark on our exploration of Antalya's wonders with an early morning pick-up from your hotel, at 7:15 am. Our Travel in Turkey Antalya tour will begin by visiting Perge, with the sights of the Stadium, Roman Gate, Nymphaeum, Roman Baths, Hellenistic Gate, Colonnaded Main Street and Agora. After having lunch, we’ll visit Kurşunlu or Manavgat Waterfalls. Next, we’ll visit Aspendos which is famous for its perfectly preserved theatre. You will be able to enjoy some free shopping time in a place with traditional Turkish handicrafts. The tour culminates with a visit to Side, an ancient city once a hub for trade and commerce, which you can explore for about an hour and a half, after which we will drop you back to your hotel, leaving you with a lifetime of memories.

Visiting;
Perge: Perge is said to have been founded circa 1000 BC, though settlements may well have existed here even earlier than that. It is an impressive ancient city with archaeological features such as the wonderful colonnaded main streets, Roman Gate, Roman Baths, Hellenistic Gate, Agora, and the impressive 2nd century AD Nymphaeum. Especially, the Roman Stadium is one of the best-preserved examples of the ancient world, which had an original capacity of around 12,000 spectators. Perge Ancient City is a must-see for historians and photographers.
After having a well-deserved lunch, you will visit Manavgat Waterfall, where you can experience the white, foaming water flowing powerfully over the rocks, the beautiful scenery and shady tea gardens.
Aspendos: Although not much remains of the ancient city, it still has the best- preserved example of a Roman theatre of antiquity, the theatre of Aspendos alone makes the trip worthwhile. The theatre is still used today and hosts the annual International Opera and Ballet festival, with the participation of opera and ballet companies from around the world, and an audience of about 10,000. This would obviously be a good time to visit the theatre, but it’s an awesome sight even without the show.
Side: Side is one of the best-known classical sites in Turkey. Its name means pomegranate in the ancient language. The ancient city is situated on a small peninsula about 1 km long and 400 m wide. You can stroll along the charming beach, visit its antique theatre, harbour or archaeological museum. There are plenty of opportunities for shopping in the traditional Turkish sales booths.
End of our Travel in Turkey Antalya tour, and we will transfer you back to your hotel.
